Connect Claude Desktop (Optional)

Add the MuleSoft MCP Server to Claude Desktop

If you are using Claude Desktop instead of (or in addition to) Claude Code:

  1. Open Claude Desktop

  2. Go to Customize → Connectors → click the + icon → Add Custom Connector

    Note: The Add Custom Connector option is only available to paid Claude Desktop subscribers (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). If you don’t see it in the Customize menu, you will need to upgrade your plan or use Claude Code instead.

  3. Enter:
    • Name: MuleSoft Platform
    • URL: https://omni.mulesoft.com/mcp
  4. In the Advanced Settings, enter:
    • Client ID: your Connected App Client ID
    • Client Secret: your Connected App Client Secret
  5. Click Save
  6. Claude Desktop will prompt you to authenticate — sign in with your Anypoint credentials and click Grant access

Once connected, the connector will show as active and tools will be available in your Claude Desktop conversations.

Note: Claude Desktop uses the https://claude.ai/api/mcp/auth_callback redirect URI — confirm this is registered in your Connected App.
